PCI Slot Installed Backwards??? Am I Crazy?

pci slot 1 One more detail: the motherboard is SuperMicro X10SRi-F that provides 6 PCI-Express slots: 1 PCI-E ×2, 1 PCI-E ×4, 2 PCI-E ×8, 1 PCI  My MOBO has a PCI slot and I want to I also don't need more external ports , and have no use for sound cards 1 2 1  What is it and how can I use it? (With 1-slot GPUs, other connectors are visible, including one which is probably the old PCI connection
